Reflection
This piece of editorial talks about how the Congress of Vienna left an irreplaceable legacy to the world today.
After asking a few of my classmates of whether they chose to write about the pros or the cons, I decided that I will go with the pros By looking at their progress while writing my own, I got an idea of how the layout of the paper should be. I also referred to them the contents I should include in this editorial, and this helped me come up with a quality work.
The challenge involved here is that I have to really know well about the history of the Congress of Vienna before I can talk about its legacy. I went through many websites to learn about the formation of the Congress of Vienna and other people's opinions of whether this congress had more pros or more cons. The reading greatly helped me compose my own thoughts about this specific topic.
The most significant thing I have learned by doing this work is the Congress of Vienna itself. It is very eye-opening to learn that the Congress of Vienna created a basis for the formation of peace-related international organizations today, and that those organizations still use the ideas developed through the Congress.
If I were to do this work again, I would read more about the Congress from varied sources to fully know about the elements in it. By that time, I might have recognized more cons than just blindly supporting the apparent pros (although it really has a lot of pros). I would also write a better editorial in terms of the format and selection of words.
