Reflection
This simple timeline chart revolves around the "Balkan Crisis" and events related to the Balkan states since World War I.
While making this timeline, I referred to a close friend on the layout of it. We also discussed about which events to include, since the maximum is only ten [out of hundreds], and our discussion played a big role on my choice of events to put into the chart. By looking at some of the others' work, I got an idea of how precise my information should be.
The challenge I encountered is my own fall over my sparse knowledge on the Balkan States. Because I barely know about it, I took a relatively long time to first read about it as a whole in order to take into account its involvement since 1914, and this reading of mine greatly helped in my understanding on the Balkans, which allowed me to create this timeline.
Personally, I really appreciate this assignment majorly because I learned significantly about the Balkan Peninsula, which I barely knew about previously. I also learned how to focus on only the major events. When studying about a certain thing, we should always find the main idea of it before looking for details, or else we will get lost in the pile of information.
If I were to do this work again, I would probably study more in advance about the earlier history and the present-day situation of the Balkan States prior to making this timeline. If I studied more, I would be able to distinguish better the important events from the less important ones and make this timeline chart more focused on the topic of the Balkan Crisis.
