Reflection
What I like best about this work is nothing else but the result! I must admit that coming up with a good script and taking time to record the voices are not enjoyable. Editing all the recordings is another painstaking task. After all the work, it is only the final result that makes my groupmates and I feel happy about doing this assignment.
The most significant thing I learned through this activity is how strong storms (typhoon, hurricanes, tornadoes) occur so very frequently and bring devastating damage to our environment. This assignment helped me become aware of how vulnerable earth is in front of natural disasters. Although we may not stop them from occurring, we must always stay alert and follow up with news.
If I were to do this work again, I would probably add more emotions to my speech. I sounded a little monotonous because I understood that this podcast has to be sort of formal, as it talks about extreme weathers that are hurting people out there. If I could have more time to record my voice, I would most likely try play around with my tone and make my speech more interesting.
I would like to learn more about how scientists predict the approaching of natural disasters and what are the precautions taken. Because I have never experienced any typhoons or hurricanes in the part I live in, I would like to learn how bad it can get and what I can do to keep my family safe.
