Reflection
This podcast revolves around Sir Montesquieu, a famous political philosopher who lived during the Age of Enlightenment.
Prior to recording this podcast, I have asked about the details from my friends of other classes and examples of previous students, such as the difficulties of making it, the background music, the app, and their podcasts' lengths. My partner and I took into consideration of their cases and tried to make the best podcast we could.
There were several challenges involved in producing this podcast. One of the biggest was the script and the length of it. We must come up with an easily understandable conversation that will allow listeners to know the most about Montesquieu within a limited amount of time. The less challenging factors were the preciseness of pronunciation and the speed of voice.
The most significant thing I have learned from this work is how to effectively use podcast when there is a partner. We had to have high cooperation and we had to be in sync. Of course, I also learned a lot about Montesquieu and his contributions, especially the idea of the separation of powers, which is still used today.
If I were to do this work again, I would try to write a better script with my partner by reading more about Montesquieu from outside sources. If we have ample time, I would also like us to rehearse a few more times so that the actual recording will have the least margin of errors.
